Formula:

• Diabemp 25mg: Empagliflozin 25 mg
• Diabemp 10mg: Empagliflozin 10 mg

Indications:

Type 2 Diabetes:

• In adults and children 10 years of age and older, when diet and exercise are not sufficient.
• Alone or in combination with other diabetes medications.

Heart failure:

• In adults with symptoms associated with a weak heart pump.

Chronic kidney disease:

• In adults with reduced kidney function.

Therapeutic action:

• Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor.
• Promotes the elimination of glucose through urine, helping to reduce blood sugar levels.
• May help protect cardiovascular and kidney function in patients with type 2 diabetes, heart failure, or chronic kidney disease.

Dosage:

• Recommended dose: 10 mg once a day.
• In patients who require more stringent glucose control, the physician may increase the dose to 25 mg once a day.
• In patients with severe kidney problems, the dose may be limited to 10 mg per day or another treatment may be recommended.

TAKE AS PRESCRIBED BY YOUR DOCTOR.

How to take:

• Take the tablet whole with water, with or without food.
• Preferably at the same time each day to improve treatment adherence.
