Formula:

Each vial with lyophilized POWDER contains:

• Recombinant human erythropoietin 4000 IU

Excipients

• Mannitol – 50.0 mg
• Sodium chloride – 6.4 mg
• Monobasic sodium phosphate – 2.8 mg
• Dibasic sodium phosphate dodecahydrate- 8.0 mg
• Human albumin – 5.0 mg

Therapeutic action: 

Antianemic. Stimulates erythropoiesis (Erythropoiesis is red blood cell (erythrocyte) production).

Indications:

Erythropoietin (EPO) is a glycoprotein hormone. It’s produced in the kidney and regulates red blood cell production. Recombinant human erythropoietin is indicated for:

• Treatment of anemia associated with chronic renal failure.
• Treatment of anemia in HIV-infected patients treated with zidovudine.
• Treatment of anemia in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy.

Presentations:

• 1 Erythropoietin 4,000 IU, vial with lyophilized product plus ampoule with diluent with water for injection and disposable syringe.

Storage method:

• Lyophilized Injectable: Store in a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
