Descripción

Formula:
• Nifedipine 30mg
• Nifedipine 60mg

Indications:
• It used alone or in combination with other drugs to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.
• This medication is also used for certain types of chest pain (angina). It may help increase your ability to exercise and decrease the frequency of chest pain attacks. It should not be used to treat chest pain when it occurs. Use other medications (such as sublingual nitroglycerin) to relieve attacks of chest pain as directed by your doctor.
• This medication is known as a calcium channel blocker. It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels so blood can flow more easily.

Advantages:
Nifed Sol has an osmotic release slow controlled effect which maintains the same effective concentration for 24 hours minimizing the fluctuations in peaks. As the medications contacts water at the level of the gastrointestinal tract, it enters the permeable nucleus through the membrane. The liberation is constant and independent of the pH and gastrointestinal motility.

Dosage: Take as prescribed by the doctor.
• Initial dose: 30 to 60 mg orally once a day
• Maintenance dose: 30 to 90 mg orally once a day
• Maximum dose: Up to 120 mg/day

Presentation:
30 mg prolonged release coated tablets with osmotic release system x 30 tablets.
60 mg prolonged release coated tablets with osmotic release system x 30 tablets.
