Descripción

Formula:

• Gestodene 0.075mg
• Ethinyl Estradiol 0.020mg

Indications:

• It is used mainly as a birth control pill for women, but it is also used to regulate the menstrual cycle and treat symptoms of premenstrual syndrome
• It can be considered for women who are prone to experience side effects with other progestogens birth control e.g., weight gain, headache, depression, acne etc.

How does it work?

• It works by preventing the release of an egg from the ovary and by increasing the thickness of the cervical mucus, making it more difficult for sperm cells to reach the uterus.

Directions:

• The treatment is started with an active white tablet every day at approximately the same hour and continued through the placebo red tablet for 28 days. Your period should be seen after taking the last active white tablet.
